Typography

This is a collection of typography-based work I’ve done through the years. Enjoy!

What Girls Are Made Of, 2021

Photography, typography, 3D

One of my first, and favorite, assignments was to recreate a three word phrase using tactile materials. Staging and photographing this scene was challenging and spoke to my love of baking. To create the text I used multicolored sugar crystals, nail polish, and ground cinnamon for a variety of textures and interest. This project was printed and chosen to be displayed in the Ewing Gallery Student Art Competition in 2022.

Happily Ever After, 2022

Typography, invitations, 2D, Print

2022 was an exciting year for my siblings as both of them got married and had multiple parties and events to celebrate. I was asked to design invitations and announcements for a variety of occasions, both formal and casual. This gave me the opportunity to work with multiple hosts and practice my typography skills and client interactions.

VOLthon Merchandise, 2022-2023

Merchandise design, typography, 2D, 3D

During the 2022/2023 academic school year, I was on the merchandise design team for VOLthon, a student-run organization that raises money for East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. I collaborated with the design team as well as the leadership team to create buttons for football games, shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags, and more. These items were sold on campus as well as VOLthon’s Dance Marathon, their primary fundraising event.

As an intern at Robin Easter Design in Knoxville, I was given the opportunity to present ideas for the branding identity for the August and September First Friday artist, Michelle Barillaro. My design was chosen and included a printed invitation, social media graphics, and window vinyl.
